St. Matthew School Home & School Association

Purpose:
The chief purpose of the Home and School Association is to promote communication and cooperation between parents and the school staff, as well as provide vital support, both financially and spiritually.

Membership:
All fathers, mothers and guardians of the pupils of St. Matthew School, and members of the faculty.

Assessment

The Assessment Fee for grades K – 8 is $300 and the fee for the Pre K grades is $175.

This assessment can be “bought out” at the beginning of the year or met during the year by utilizing the gift certificate program and participating in any/all of our fundraising programs.  If by the end of April you have not met the entire assessment amount that pertains to your grade level, the Home and School Association will bill the families with balances.  These balances must be paid in full by May 15 each year.  Unpaid balances will be added to the following year’s assessment fee.

Responsibilities:

  1. To meet the annual budget through fundraising.
  2. To promote communication and cooperation between the school and the home.
  3. To influence public opinion and support federal and state legislation for the benefit of nonpublic schools.
  4. To foster a better understanding of the goals and spirit of Catholic education in the school and parish.
  5. To assist parents in fulfilling their role as primary educators.
